The RCA Dog – Then and Now

After we lost our Jack Russell mix, Maggie, in early April, our Cocker Spaniel, Effie, became very depressed. A dog is a pack animal and we realized quickly, Effie needed a companion.

We began keeping our eye out for a dog that needed a good home – perhaps one who had lost their owner. We were thinking we lost a puppy – and if a puppy lost an owner, it would be a more natural fit.

That’s when we found Cooper on Craigslist.

Cooper is quite the peculiar dog. He was very velcro-ish in the beginning, but once he settled in, he doesn’t hesitate a bit when he is ready for bed. He has taken over the room vacated by our twins when they moved out and on their own.

How many dogs have their own room? And a real bed?

From day one, I knew he reminded me of a celebrity dog, but I couldn’t put my finger on it – that was until he began paying very close attention to the speakers of our surround sound system.

As he sat in from of the speaker, tilting his head from side to side – it hit me.

Cooper IS the new RCA dog.
