When political agenda is placed above integrity – Shame on Ted Cruz

Ted Cruz Chose Politics over Integrity

Going into the Republican National Convention last night, I had my reservations about Ted Cruz being on the speakers schedule. I tried to refrain from commenting and hoped my “gut instinct” was wrong – although it rarely is.

Ted Cruz and Barack Obama on a Jet Plane

Last week when a few news sources reported that President Obama had asked Ted Cruz to accompany him on Air Force One to Texas for the memorial service for the murdered police officers, I instantly got a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach.

Perhaps it was nothing, but in the end, perception is everything.

Here we are in the height of a crucial and heated election season, ONE WEEK before the Republican Convention and Ted Cruz is keeping company with President Obama for at least 4 hours on the flight there and the flight back. A person would have to be completely delusional to think the elections, candidates and conventions were not discussed.

Red flags were going off all around me considering how painfully obvious the “Political Agenda At ALL Cost” position has been in the Obama Administration and Hillary Clinton have been over the last year.

Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have repeatedly chosen the position of “political agenda” over integrity on MANY occasions. Here are a few examples that I find most disturbing:

Benghazi – Hillary Clinton and the Obama Administration chose to keep American's in harms way, eventually costing the lives of FOUR because the whole mission was intended to be a HUGE feather in the cap of the president.

Black Lives Matter – Both Obama and Clinton have done everything under the sun to support, encourage and endorse the efforts of BLM from invites to the White House to personal phone calls.

Josue Flores – Obama speaks often about helping Hispanics in our country and I do think he does, until a black man seeks out and kills a little 11-year-old Hispanic boy who was walking home from school. The family of Josue has never heard from Obama like the parents and families of Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown.

Kate Steinle – Obama speaks about the need for gun control, but when an illegal immigrant who had been deported FIVE times walks out onto a pier in a “sanctuary city” in California and shoots an innocent white girl, Obama goes predictably quiet.

Now, IF equality were REALLY important to Obama and Hillary Clinton, the above examples would have been very different.

When crimes are committed that goes against their own political agenda or proves potentially dangerous to Hillary Clinton being elected and carrying on the Obama legacy, we hear NOTHING!

So now I have to wonder IF somewhere between DC and Dallas if Ted Cruz took notes from the Obama and Clinton “Political Agenda At ALL Cost” playbook. What Ted Cruz did last night at the convention was nothing short of reprehensible.

Was, Is and Always Will Be Lyin’ Ted

I wanted to believe Ted would do the right thing. I was texting with a dear friend of mine who happened to be a fan and voter of Ted Cruz. She has taken a liking to the children of Donald Trump and, like many other American's, realize that NO ONE can raise such an amazing family without being a good person, deep down.

In a text during the Ted Cruz speech, she was excited and said “Here comes the endorsement” – I started to respond to let her know I highly doubted he would do what he had pledged to do, but I waited. If for NO other reason, I WANTED to be wrong for her. I wanted her guy to be a good guy. I wanted her guy to be a man who would put integrity above political agenda.

When the booing and chanting started, I was let down – NOT because I believed in Ted Cruz, but because my dear friend believed in him.

In the end, when political agenda is placed above integrity, lives are lost. We cannot allow Hillary Clinton to take her venomous ways into OUR White House!

I don’t understand why Ted Cruz would attend and speak at the RNC if he had no plans to endorse Donald Trump.
